Eyebrow Tattoo Aftercare Instruction

The 3 common “freak outs” a new client experience following an eyebrow Microblading or other form of eyebrow tattoo treatment are consistently:

  • My eyebrow is too dark or thick.
  • My eyebrow tattoo is scabbing and peeling.
  • I can’t see my eyebrow tattoo anymore.

The day of treatment and a couple of days following your eyebrows Microblading or brow tattoo procedure may appear a lot thicker and darker to you. There are a number of factors which make them appear this way, mainly due to the build-up and drying process of the lymph nodes post procedure. Rest assured both the thickness and darkness of your brow tattoo will subside in the coming days.
The fading, and loss of tattooed hair strokes during the healing process is not just common, it is expected. Don’t be alarmed, your tattoo is still there, beneath the transparent new skin forming following the procedure. They will appear once again during week 2 pr a later part of your healing process.

Eyebrow Aftercare Directions:

  • Day 1 (No shower/bath or washing face with any type of face wash or cleanser for the next 48 hours. You can gently & firmly blot the eyebrow tattoos with a dry, clean tissue every 15-30 min until bedtime.
  • Day 1-5: No makeup or skincare product directly on or around your eyebrow area.
  • Day 1-5: If they get too dry, stretched, or itchy, blot them dry and apply a rice grain sized of the healing cream or Bepanthen tattoo cream.
  • Day 1-5: No work out or activities that involve excessive sweating.
  • Day 1-14: Do NOT wash your eyebrow tattoos, showers are fine but don’t make a point to wash them and always blot dry when wet.     Ensure showers are not overly warm as this open the pores and drain your pigments.
  • Day 1-14: Avoid any skincare product contain retinol, AHA, vitamins A, C and E agents.
  • Day 1-14: Sleep with a clean pillowcase, on your back rather than stomach or sides. Avoid touching the eyebrow tattoos area with unclean hands or at all.
  • DO NOT pick, pull, scratch your eyebrow tattoos at all. Allow the scabs to form and fall off naturally.
  • From day 14 and beyond, you can now wash your eyebrows gently with warm water and cotton rounds twice daily the blot dry.
  • Be sure to book in and attend your touch up session.

Lip colouring Tattoo Aftercare Direction:

  • First 1-3 hours: Use clean cotton pad with a bit lukewarm water, squeezed the pad and gently dab your lips. Repeat this step every 10-15 min to remove lymph (plasma) Wipe gently few more time during day while awake. Let them air dry (unclean lymph with form into scab and result in infection easily and poor retention.
  • Day 1-2: Always keep your lips clean and air dry. Strictly avoid hot food, spicy or strong seasoned food (Soy sauce, fish sauce) to prevent blister and infection. Your lips will be swollen overnight, sometimes for 48 hours, the fuller your lips naturally, the more evident this will be.
  • Day 3+: The tightness and dryness starting to occur. Use damp clean cotton pad and leave it on your lips 30 sec-1 min (to soften the scab and help come off gently).
  • Start applying Vaseline or Pawpaw ointment constantly to keep moist until lips healed. At this stage even with no before precaution you still possibly get break out or cold sore first time ever after lips tattoo or even though you have been trying to avoid hot food and taking tablet.
  • If you have experienced cold sore or any breakout. Please purchase Zovirax or Antiviral and continue using it until your adjustment appointment in 6-8 weeks. The 2nd or 3rd days are the most crucial days for attack to launch. Some clients have said that using ice on the lips for those 3 days helps prevent an outbreak.
  • Between 2 days and 2 weeks after the treatment the colour may appear very pale, dull or light, and you may think the tattoo has been unsuccessful. Be patient, this is normal as the skin heals. The true colour will be evident in 4-8 weeks.
  • Around Day 5 the worst if the chapping will be mostly over. Around Day 6 the lip colour will appear softer. In fact, the colour may appear pale or frosty for the next 5 days. This is perfectly normal. It is vital to remember to wait the full 4-6 weeks before the final colour evident.
